Summer Beauty Voxbox: Unboxing and Starting to test

SO! I finally got my box! In this post you will see pictures of each item (mainly closeups of the labels) and a little review of the ones I already tried. Because I couldnt help munching and putting on some nail polish!!
Please remember that all these items were sent to me courtesy of Influenster for testing and reviewing, free of charge. I will list the retail prices with the photos and item description.

Quaker Soft Baked Bar in Banana Nut Bread: $3.29 for a package of bars
- I did try this item, and didn't really care for it. It was okay, and maybe would have been better warmed up. I prefer Quakers oatmeal to go bars over this, however I did like the big chunks of pecan and almond on top. It gave a nice crunch to the chewy bar.

Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticles Hand Creme: $5.99 for a full size bottle, bottle given to me was sample size
- I have no real opinion on this yet, I did try a bit on the back of my hand but haven't really used it yet. More on this another time!

Tampax and Always Radiant Collection: Prices vary per box and item
- Though I haven't tried this yet I already love some of it. The sleeves that the tampons are in are more like fabric than before (less noisy!) and have a little sticker to open and reseal it, so its more discreet even in the trash. This came with 2 tampons, 3 liners and a pad all in a cute zipper bag (shown through the window of the picture). I will have a more thorough review later on in my second post, and pictures of everything. I will say now I will not be testing the pad, not only do I not care for pads, It is scented... and I am allergic to scented feminine products.

Clear Scalp and Hair Beauty Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner: $4.99-$5.99 for 12.7-12.9 oz bottles
- I received a nicely sized trial bottle of each, this product was a "based on demographics" bonus. I have yet to try them but will start tonight! They claim to nourish the scalp for strong beautiful hair from root to tip. We shall see *eyebrow wiggle*

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30: $8.99 for 6 oz bottle. Available in SPF 12, 30, 50
- I have tried a bit on my arm, its a little too... fragranced for me. But its non greasy and is definitely nice and silky! I will have a better review later on ;)

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Polish in Polar Purple: $9.99- WOOOO SO EXCITED! I have always wanted to try magnetic polish. And this is probably the most inexpensive one I have seen. And.... IT WORKS! After the product picture I have photos of my crappy manicure I gave myself. The polish was wonderful; but I didn't clean it up well haha. It was a quickie just to test it.

The product photo doesn't show every true to color, but neither do the mani photos! This shows too red, nails show too blue. Either way, the color is lushhhh. and it was super easy! Paint a base coat on, one coat of color and let dry completely. Prepare by having your hand on something flat (away from fans) and the magnet close. Paint a coat on one nail and quickly hold the magnet over top the nail as close as you can (using the guide at the top) I found holding it for longer than the allotted ten seconds made for a darker and richer design. I did 30 seconds. Voila! This is without a topcoat, but I recommend one for maximum shine and reflectiveness.

Whole hand, again messy, but awesome! and fyi, its like tiger eye, when you move your fingers the design moves. its so neat!!

Influenster VoxBox: Summer Beauty Box

So for those who dont know there is this webiste, Influenster and they do these things...wonderful little things, called a vox box. On influenster you fill out info like if you own a blog, have a youtube, use a smart phone etc, and earn badges. The more badges you have the more you may qualify for a voxbox. A voxbox is a sometimes themed box of goodies and samples sent to the qualifiers for review and testing!

While I dont want you to forget about the post below with a giveaway (which still has a few days on it!)..
I would like you tell you about the opportunity I was given. Ladygasm toys had contacted me to review 5 of their best selling toys, and as you may have noticed I am not the only one.
I just thought I would let all my blog followers know that the old youtube I practically shut down is back up, and I am currently uploading the 5 unboxing and review videos I did. I also may start to do mini videos on hair and makeup here and there again.

Please understand why I dont generally do videos anymore. For a 3 minute video, it takes me approximately 3 hours to upload. And I must keep the window open, the computer screen to not go to screen saver. Which means I must spend 3 hours online, or 3 hours constantly tapping the touchpad (because even if i take off screen saver, it still eventually falls asleep.) I know I had a HUGE following back in the glittershitter days, and I still love and appreciate all of them, I have 10,000 views on my youtube, and still have 237 of the couple hundred subscribers I used to have.

LOVE Voxbox Product Reviews Part 1

This is a quickie until I can get photos up later this evening.

Part 1! - Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Chocolate, Venus & Olay Razor, Stash Teas (some of the 9 flavors)

I am no stranger to this brand of chocolate, but I can say I never went for their plain milk chocolate before. Im a Pennsylvania girl born and bred, we eat Hersheys when we want milk chocolate. So I was a little,... Hesitant I guess? But boy was I wrong.
My first impression was amusement. The bar was large, and if you have ever had their individuals you will understand when i say the pieces that break off are BIG. Hersheys sizes are for babies after this.
It smelled like dark chocolate, thats probably the 32% cacao, but when i tasted it it was just simple creamy milk chocolate. Melty, like smooth silk chocolatey goodness!
5 out of 5 stars!!

- Venus & Olay Razor -
I am dubbing this the "Weekender" haha, I took it to the boyfriends for the weekend to test out. I didn't bring shave gel, but I didn't need it! This thing has 2 huge moisture chunks on it that immediately lay over your skin for a smooth nick free shave. Five blades! I didn't get cut once, which is a miracle for me.
My disappointments...its kinda bulky. Great for legs and pits but not the best for the bikini area. I'd say its good for the bikini line, but if you go Brazilian, it cant get those hard to reach areas. Maybe TMI but lets be honest here haha.
I also don't think it will last too long. I know you are only supposed to keep a razor for x amount of shaves but ill keep mine till it dies (with disinfecting dunks in between), razors are expensive! I feel for this one to last you will have to store it outside of the bathroom, upright to dry in between showers to save the moisturizer strips.
Great razor, great shave... maybe not the longest lasting or for "every" shave haha
I'd say 4 out of 5 stars.

Oh my my my, I love me some herbal teas.
I love that the sampler box seems to have a flavor for everyone. Ranging from simple (peppermint, chammomile) that have just one ingredient, to complex (mango passionfruit, licorice spice)with many different flavors and ingredients. It also has mild, sweet, fruity, spicy, calming flavors. It is a perfect sampler, you obviously get a taste of every kind of flavor.
Now I have yet to try all of them, and can not try the raspberry (allergy), but what I've tried was great!
This never got finished... but heres what I had!
